Actors Needed in Movies
Every movie or television show needs extras in there movies. Usually those who play extras have a limited amount of lines and play a person in the background or in environment. A good place to find out if their is a need for extras is to go on craigslist for posting in your area. You could very well land a couple of days work.
Actors Needed for Independent Productions
A lot of independent films with low budgets that don’t have the money to get big named actors will usually hold auditions and casting calls. Look in trade publications like Variety and Backstage for audition listings for these indy films. A word of warning about this type of work is that it can be exploitative, so always do your research and be cautious. Know that these jobs can either be an incredible experience or one you wish you never went too, it all really depends.
To reach the top in the show biz industry you must be very focused, persistent, and have the passion to persevere. Being talented is not enough, if you don’t have passion you won’t go far. Always be aware of actors needed ads and you will always have a job.
